SECTION 5:   HEALTH HAZARD DATA

THRESHOLD LIMIT VALUE: Nitroglycerine 0.46 (skin); Lead Styphnate 0.15 (as Pb fume).
OSHA PEL: Lead Styphnate 0.05 (as Pb fume).
EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE: The chemicals contained in this product may cause a sudden decrease in blood pressure leading to headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, hypotension, Central Nervous System depression, angina, irritation of the skin, eyes or Respiratory System and at high levels, unconsciousness or death. This product is not known to cause chronic illness.
EMERGENCY FIRST-AID PROCEDURES:
SKIN EXPOSURE: If spilled on skin IMMEDIATELY begin decontamination with running
  water.
Remove exposed or contaminated clothing, taking care not to contaminate eyes. If reddening or
irritation occurs, victim and rescuers must seek immediate medical attention. Nitroglycerine will
absorb into the body through the skin.
EYE EXPOSURE: If chemical is splashed in eyes, open victim's eyes while under gentle running
water. Use sufficient force to open eyelids. Have victim "roll" eyes. MINIMUM flushing is for 15
  minutes.
INHALATION: If chemicals contained in the product are inhaled, remove victim to fresh air. If
necessary, use artificial respiration to support vital functions. If intense headache, dizziness,
hypertension or nervous system depression occurs, the victim and rescuers must seek immediate
  medical attention.

SECTION 6:   REACTIVITY DATA

STABILITY DATE: Stable.
INCOMPATIBILITY: Explosively incompatible with heat, flames or electrostatic discharge. If chemicals
contained in squib are released without detonation, they are incompatible with all agents previously listed and all acids. The squibs and the chemicals are shock sensitive.
HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxides of nitrogen , hydrogen cyanide, hydrochloric acid, flame, high heat.
HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION: Will not occur.

SECTION 7:   SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURES

SMALL SPILLS: If chemicals contained in the squib are released without ignition or detonation place residue in a metal pail & seal.
LARGE SPILLS: Liberally soak spilled chemicals with acetone, ethyl alcohol or butyl acetate. Maintain fire watch with dry chemical extinguishers. Carefully clean up solvent soaked explosive materials with paper towels or cotton rags. Do not use any material which would generate a spark. Use Level B: triple gloves, chemically resistant suit and boots, hard hat, and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus. Responders should wear grounding straps to prevent static electricity.
FOLLOW STATE AND LOCAL REGULATIONS FOR DISPOSAL OF LARGE NON-RECLAIMABLE SPILLS.
